Rams Showcase Offense vs Lenoir CC

Saturday's series opener featured an offensive explosion from the Rams. All 9 starters for the Rams collected a hit while Soles, Thompson, Suggs, and Pridgen each collected 2 hits. Pridgen and Suggs led the way for the Rams offense with 2 Home Runs and 4 RBIs each. The Rams got out to an early lead in the third inning then fell behind. They rallied back late in the game to cut the deficit and put together a great offensive effort.

 

Southeastern bounced back early on Sunday morning by jumping out to a quick lead. Pridgen and Ruppert started the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single and an RBI fielder's choice. An inning later, Suggs mashed his third long ball of the weekend to extend the Rams lead to 6. Suggs and Rupert both led the team with 3 RBIs. 

 

The Rams stayed competitive in the series finale on Saturday afternoon. Soles hit a 2 run homerun to put the Rams on top in the third inning. Suggs took the mound to start the game and had an efficient start. He handed the ball off to Doty in the 5th inning, who turned in a good performance coming out of the bullpen. The Rams also featured solid glovework in the field, committing no errors.

 

The Rams will be at home for a double header against USC-Sumter on Wednesday, March 4. The games are set for 12:30 and 3:00. The Rams will then take to the road this weekend and play a 3 game set versus Pitt Community College. Games 1 and 2 will take place on Saturday, March 7 and 1:00 and 4:00, and game 3 will take place the following day on Sunday, March 8 at 1:00.
