Rams respond to adversity with energy against FTCC
The Rams faced adversity in Game 1 of the series, going down early in the first 3 innings. They responded well and play clean after the rough start. Despite the early adversity, 5 Rams managed to get on base, and Pridgen showed his power at the top of the 3rd inning by smoking a ball to the right-center gap for a double. Guerrero also had a good outing out of the bullpen for the Rams. The righty was able to extend 3.1 innings and only allowed 1 earned run.
The Rams came back with lots of energy in Game 2. Suggs gave the Rams a good start on the mound, extending 5 innings and only allowing 3 hits. The Rams jumped out to a 1-run lead thanks to a 3-run 4th inning. The rally started when Thompson hit a solo home run and continued thanks to an RBI walk from Allen and another RBI from Pridgen later in the inning. In the 5th, Sutherland extended the Rams' lead with a solo shot of his own. Sutherland and Thompson both collected 3 hits, leading the way for the Rams' offense.
The Rams played another hard-fought game on Sunday Morning. Pridgen started the game with his second double of the weekend, while Sutherland and Thompson also collected a hit. The Rams got a solid performance from their pitching staff as well. Ramirez, Mathis, and McBride combined for 6 innings and only allowed 2 earned runs. Mathis managed to strike out 3, and McBride also punched out 2.
