Rams play hard in final series of the year
The Rams played a hard-fought series this weekend and celebrated their sophomores in their final games of the season.
Game 1 featured some standout performances from the sophomores. Tristan McGee took the mound for the Rams and gave them an efficient start. He managed 4 innings, allowing only 1 earned run on 3 hits. Braden Soles led the way for the Rams offense, collecting 2 hits, including a 2-run triple. Jeremiah Thompson, Cade Allen, and Owen Pridgen all managed to swipe bags for the Rams.
The Rams looked to bounce back in Game 2 and managed to plate two runs in the first inning thanks to a 2 run homer from Pridgen. He also collected 3 RBIs in the contest. Reynell Reyes recorded 3 hits to lead the Rams offense, which scored in all but one inning. The Rams strung together 8 hits in the contest.
The Rams looked to finish their season strong and played a gritty Game 3 against Fayetteville Tech. Conley Steed led off for the Rams and collected 2 hits. Brett Cassell got the start at shortstop and played a clean game while also connecting on a 107 MPH double in the second inning. Landen Edwards had the lone RBI for the Rams, and Landon Stringer had a solid appearance out of the bullpen, going 2 innings and allowing only 1 earned run.
We would like to thank the Rams Fam and our sophomores for a memorable season. We wish them the best of luck at their next schools and hope the lessons they learned here stay with them for life.
